TEST FLIGHT rough concept work

Here's a bit of the rough/early concept work I've been doing for my Senior Film, TEST FLIGHT up until this point. What's left for me now is to finalize these designs (characters, car, color schemes, poster, etc), do some scene mock-ups, and most of all, clean up my storyboards so they're far more presentable than they are now (this is the part I am most apprehensive about since I do not even know for sure about my visual storytelling . . .). I do not know how I am going to get it all done in time, but here's hoping.

really quick rough sketch for the poster design (I'll be using it to promote the film around SCAD and (please dear lord) pick up animators for the film).

Mabel took forever to get to the point where she is in the above pictures...she started as this.

A shot from my thumbnail animatic. It wouldn't be a Tracy MacLauchlan film without a crying baby animal.

I'm loving the just blocks of color for the characters and the colors you have picked are an interesting grouping. You should make it all textured like http://vimeo.com/11831932

Thanks Dan! The color schemes actually aren't finalized yet but I'm generally going for blue and yellow (though there's a bit more orange now in it, too). As for the texture, I'm playing around with the idea but ultimately I think I'm going to end up with just clean vector work1 :)
