And the time that it takes, will it go slow?

Oct. 24th

(yeah, this one was last week's)

Ralph the Sheep Noodle Wolf.

While I was drawing Ralph, a lot of people tried to guess what he was throughout the day. "A badger?" "...a mongoose?" "A bat!". Ralph wasn't too happy about that.

Mitsy, the Kitty Noodle Bunny.

A test in using Adobe Illustrator to digitally ink and color. I gotta admit, it really cuts the time in half...the only problem for me right now is that I'm so unfamiliar with the program that there were still a lot of loose ends for me to clean up in photoshop that I shouldn't of had to.  Also, I feel that, as smooth as the inking in Illustrator can be, it loses a lot of expression in the process. I much prefer the sketch to this.

So here's a short-term goal for myself once things settle down: become savvy in Illustrator and use that in combination with photoshop to make cool things later on. Maybe this winter break I will actually make a comic or something, using photoshop to paint backgrounds and clean up/add effects, and illustrator to ink and color the characters and do word bubbles and text!

sounds pretty cool, but we'll see.

and a preview of Mitsy, the Kitty Noodle Bunny. I did 3 other poses, too, but they weren't much up to par (this one really isn't, either, but I thought it was still kind of cute).

Fiddle, the Hummingbird Noodle Sugar Glider eating dirt while wearing a monocle, and Toby, the Puppy Noodle Lion

More Fiddle-- she's an interesting lil' cutie pie and immensely fun to draw because she is so hyper, and so all her poses require a lot of energy. Also, when she is feeling any strong kind of "energetic" emotion like a sudden burst of joy, paranoia, or anger- her hat begins to flap its wings.

More Toby. He's one of the main characters, and obviously less energetic than Fiddle. Toby is thoughtful, kind, sensitive, and loyal

Halloween Themed

Halloween + Gender Bender Ball at scad = interesting times. (Don't worry, I will not be attending the GB again this year, although it was fun :) )

Old (2-3 years?) Noodle Animals Halloween Special Art:
Sigma, the resident Noodle Ghost. Back in the day he was just some kind of black fox with wings...

Redo sketch of Sigma. More of a fennec fox inspiration to him, although Noodle Animals never really look much like their animal counterparts.

Sigma possessing Ed, the rabbit noodle fox. Obviously older work, same time as the previous Sigma pic.

Sodom, South Georgia

Here's Veil and Hanten reciting an Iron & Wine song!

My scanner isn't working, and I don't feel like going to the Dyson lab...
