3-D design final :/ Eh, I wish I would have gone with one of my other ideas.
(a quick in-class assignment/exercise)
I strongly advise anyone who has a free class at SCAD to take Tom Lyle's drawing for sequential art. It's the best thing you can do for yourself as an animator, illustrator, or sequential artist.
Which gets me all riled up again about how SCAD doesn't have any drawing for animation classes, but that's a rant for another day.
Anyway, I'm actually kind of surprised to find that I am halfway decent at compositions, though! At least I think I'm showing potential as more than just someone who can draw a single character against a white background, which is something I've been putting myself down for for a while.
I think I just really need to work on getting the mechanics and details down with backgrounds and maybe one day I'll be able to do some actual cool stuff with my drawings. So it's practice, practice, practice for me!
Anyway, AUUUUGHHHHH FINALS!!!!!!!!!!!! Amiright?? That's supposed to be me. As a squirrel. IDK why squirrel, since Jess and I have already concluded that I would be a mouse in the animal kingdom (she would be a raccoon, and Whitney would be, of course, a cat!).
I'll have to draw all of us once my drawing mojo returns and I have enough time and vitality to do more interesting poses (since these two have the exact same pose as the critter from last post! I've drawn myself into monotony!!)
Also, here's an unfinished illustration from earlier this quarter, of my character Veil fighting a shark and a giant squid at sea.
I was kinda going for a mix between Jack Kirby and japanese prints...but I'm not really keen on this one anymore, so I'm gunna drop it and/or redo it. I'm thinking of making the 3 illustrations I'm going to do this summer all Veil-themed so there's some sort of unity, as well as the fact I have nifty ideas for some Veil illustrations.

Oh man, that shark/Giant squid picture is awesooome. Please replace that character with me and I will pay you handsomely and frame that picture above the fireplace.
Tom Lyle's class is the shiznit. FO SHO.
I'm loving how you play with textures in the hair. Swanky.
