I need to draw more

Here's a quick study I did in Photoshop for my MAT & TECH assignment, which is working with ink + brush. Since I'm a nervous Nelly with permanent media like ink (where's ctrl + z?!), I did studies of the pages first. It's not anything too profound, but I still kind of like it.

a quick Ralph design for an upcoming animation I have to do. I had to simplify him a bit for the project (basically just no markings on his nose and tail and no seams going down his sides), but other than that this is pretty close to how I want Ralph to be, and it is exciting to finally be this close after so long of experimenting.



Mat & Tech class is kind of getting me into B&W art.

Halloween is approaching, so I decided to quickly draw [Sigma] again, taking into account how Noodle Animals has evolved into Noodles, and... you know...basically not looking at any of my old Sigma drawings at all, so he really looks nothing like he did in 2008 or in previous incarnations. Sigma is actually not going to be in the Noodles story, because the concept is a little silly, but he's certainly a fun little guy to draw.

Sketch for comic in my Materials & Tech class (another love story). I managed to whip this up pretty quickly! I'm excited to see how much faster I've been getting with sketching (now if only I could force myself to FINISH what I sketch).

I have a feeling I'm going to screw it up with the coloring, but oh well!

Commissioned mice templates for online pet shop :D! These little guys are familiars for the cats.




I'm abolutely loving Toby as a girl :D. Right now I'm tweaking some small things- got rid of the freckles, playing around with the design of the hair, etc.

Though, I feel like I'm getting close enough to start doing some finalized designs and turnarounds so that I can draw the characters more consistently from now on.
